Role: Senior Copywriter (Team of 7 Writers)
Deliverables: 10,000+ product descriptions and feature bullets for holiday retail rollout
Overview:As part of a cross-functional content team, I helped execute one of Canadian Tire’s largest seasonal e-commerce copy pushes — rewriting and optimizing 10,000 product descriptions in preparation for the holiday sales period. The scope covered tools, electronics, home goods, and outdoor products, all under a strict two-month turnaround.
Technical Approach:
Collaborated with a team of seven copywriters using shared guidelines and Asana-based workflows to ensure consistency and volume
Structured each description to align with holiday shopper behaviour: urgency, clarity, and ease of understanding technical details
Used a dual-layered SEO approach: product-level metadata optimization and front-facing copy designed for both Google Shopping and internal search
Ensured strict narrative/bullet separation for semantic indexing and product discoverability
Result:Delivered all 10,000 product pages ahead of deadline with full QA sign-off. This copy powered Canadian Tire’s holiday ecommerce performance, feeding into their seasonal ads, product landing pages, and digital shelf experience.
