Captions.ai – Consumer-First SaaS Launch Copy (via Graphite Agency)
Role: Brand Copywriter (Contracted via Graphite Agency)Deliverables: Homepage messaging, SEO blog articles, onboarding microcopy
Overview:While working with Graphite Agency, I was brought in to support the launch of Captions.ai, a new AI-powered video editing software designed for creators. This was a greenfield product competing in a saturated market against established players like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut Pro — making the challenge not just about differentiation, but demystifying a completely new editing experience.
Strategic Approach:
Focused messaging around user outcomes (“edit without editing,” “AI that works like a creative partner”) instead of technical features, to lower intimidation for non-technical users
Structured homepage content around a simple decision flow: pain point → aha moment → immediate benefit → soft CTA
Wrote blog content rooted in SEO themes tied to creator pain points (e.g., “tools for editing shorts quickly” or “how to repurpose content with AI”)
Delivered product-friendly onboarding microcopy and UI labels that reflected a casual, creator-first tone, aligning with brand voice goals
Result:The messaging helped Captions.ai carve out a more approachable position in a highly technical category, improving early adoption among solo creators and non-editors. This work contributed to a successful go-to-market rollout, with strong engagement from TikTok creators, micro-influencers, and podcast editors during launch.
